How to Make Slime

\The recent resurgence of slime toys has been winning the hearts of children all around the world.

It is possible to form your very own version of the gooey delight right from the comforts of your home. So, get ready, put on your lab coats, gather the right ingredients and be in for a laboratory-scale adventure with your young scientist as you prepare to produce your slimy masterpiece!

Duration:  5 Minutes

STEP 1

Round up the ingredients. For slime production, the scientist needs:

  • A box of laundry softener
  • A bottle of water
  • A glass container (preferably with measurements)
  • Glitter Glue (for a sparkling effect)
  • Spoon
  • A bowl

STEP 2

Squeeze the tube of glue into the bowl, this will be the main ingredient for your slime experiment.

STEP 3          

Empty the bottle of water into the glass bowl and stir well with a spoon to mix the ingredients.

STEP 4

This is the tricky part. Prepare the softener in a glass container and do so with careful measurements: a recommended ratio would be 1 teaspoon of softener to half a cup of room temperature water. (This step is best overseen by an adult).

You will require that trusty spoon again, keep stirring the mixture until the powder is fully dissolved.

STEP 5

Now, it is time to add them all together. Mix the softener preparation with your bowl of glue and stir.

Your slime is about to shape up!

When done correctly, you will see the slime slowly appear right before you!

Roll them into balls, toss them around, squish the, with your fingers. Mold your new creation however you want, your young ones will have loads of fun.
