How Things Work Science Projects (abbreviated as HTWSP for the remainder of this document) is not an employee of any company that we promote products for on this site. We do however have affiliate agreements with several such as Amazon, Kindle, Linkshare, Commission Junction, Clickbank and others. In those cases HTWSP does make a commission on any products that our visitors click our site links on and they ultimately purchase from those primary sites, like Linkshare, etc.
Specifically for Amazon, “We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.”
We also promote products at times that we either warehouse and ship or have shipped from distributor warehouses directly to visitors who desire to purchase them. We make a profit on those purchases as well.
And we write and sell ebooks that we promote on our site independently as well as with Kindle Publishing. We make a profit on those sales as well.
Much of that profit goes back into the site to give you great science projects and science related content, but some of that is just profit for us, which we know you understand is not evil at all.
