  • Vinegar (as a weak acid)

  • Tap water

  • 2 identical pieces of limestone or chalk

  • 2 jars

  • Labels

Procedure:

  1. Place one piece of limestone in vinegar and the other in water.

  2. Observe over several days, noting bubbling, disintegration, and changes in appearance.

Outcome:
Shows how acid rain (simulated by vinegar) erodes limestone, demonstrating real-world effects on buildings and natural formations.
